Description
This is a trade token that is worth half a penny. It was used at Robin Hood and Little John Tavern in Chiswell Street and was issued by John Tomlinson. Chiswell Street is near Finsburyfields where people practiced archery. This coin shows Robin Hood holding a bow and arrow with Little John behind him. It was made from a copper alloy. The diameter is 19mm and the weight is 1.53 grams. The coin was made sometime between 1643 and 1673.
